How we eliminated unnecessary calls and put all the information in the palm of our field salespeople's hands.

Our client has a team of field salespeople. They're out in the field every day - at clients, in meetings, closing deals.
But every time they needed to check the data, they called the office

"Do you have this product in stock?" "Where is it located and how much is it?" "What exactly did we agree with this client the last time?"

Product catalog

Phone calls, WhatsApp messages, Excel spreadsheets. Sometimes wrong information. Sometimes a lost opportunity.

What did we do?

We have implemented Odoo CRM and Sales modules adapted to the field sales needs. Salesperson now has everything they need served right on their phone or tablet device:

  • Accurate quantities on hand - by location, not just total
  • History of cooperation with the client
  • Product details and specifications

All in real time, synchronized with the existing ERP system.

What does that look like in practice?

The salesperson is in a meeting. The client asks about a product - wants to know if it's in stock, when it can be delivered. Everything he needs to know is already in the system. The salesperson opens Odoo and has all the information in a few seconds.

The seller sees the status by location, order history, prices, discounts and all relevant details. If the product is not in a nearby warehouse, he immediately sees where it is and how long it will take to deliver. He can make an accurate offer on the spot.

And it all works on any device. Mobile phone, tablet, laptop - it doesn't matter. All you need is an internet connection.

All of this works because we connected Odoo to the client's existing ERP system. We'll write about what this synchronization looks like under the hood in the next post.
